Famous US-British comedian visiting Historikerkanzlei

War, displacement, emigration, or state separation lead to families being torn apart. This is what happened to the ancestors of the famous comedian Ruby Wax when her parents were forced to flee Vienna due to the Nazi regime.

As part of the BBC One series “Who Do You Think You Are?”, Ruby Wax was searching for information about her family. The famous comedian and the BBC film crew were guests at the Vienna Historian’s Office. Thanks to the expertise of our genealogists, who regularly work on family research cases, the entertainer’s family history was uncovered.
